My lips unclean, my best works filth
I cannot summon any worth
I am undone, I shield my eyes
A beggar's stance-- my own demise
Sin my death, a long, dark road
Depraved and base, no place for home
The shadows fall, familiar veil
Torn assunder, death will prevail
A blinding light shines on the lost
The only hope, a tattered cross
The scales fall off my eyes to see
The King of Glory died for me
I die to sin, die to self
To gain a piece of heavenly wealth
His righteousness alone I need
Jesus shed the blood for me
His risen glory at the throne
To plead my case and to atone
His righteousness alone I need
I rise again, fall at His feet
